What is UDL, and how much weight can each shelf level support?
UDL stands for Uniformly Distributed Load, meaning the weight is spread evenly across the shelf surface rather than concentrated in one spot. Our MYSTAR BS5000 series is engineered for versatility and strength, supporting between 80kg to 400kg per level (UDL), depending on the specific shelf dimensions and beam configuration.
Can I choose between fiberboard and metal decking for my racks?
Yes. We provide two primary decking options to suit your storage environment:
- High-Density Fiberboard (HDF): A cost-effective and sturdy choice for dry environments like retail backrooms, home offices, and archive storage.
- Steel Shelves: Ideal for industrial settings, kitchens, or areas with higher humidity. Metal shelves are fire-resistant, easier to sanitize, and will not warp or sag in Malaysia’s tropical climate.
Do I need specialized tools or bolts to assemble the racking?
Not at all. True to its name, our Boltless Racking System features a smart interlocking “snap-in” design. You do not need any nuts, bolts, or screws. A simple rubber mallet is the only tool required to firmly secure the beams into the upright frames, allowing for rapid installation and easy reconfiguration by anyone.
Is the height of the shelves adjustable?
Absolutely. The vertical uprights are designed with a modular pitch, allowing you to adjust the horizontal beams at regular intervals. This flexibility ensures you can customize the spacing between shelves to accommodate varying box sizes or shifting inventory without having to dismantle the entire rack.
Is the steel treated to prevent rust and corrosion?
Yes. To ensure long-term durability, all our racking components are finished with a high-grade Epoxy Powder Coating. This industrial-strength finish is significantly more resilient than standard paint, providing a tough barrier against scratches, moisture, and corrosion, making it perfectly suited for Malaysian warehouses, storerooms, and garages.
